The guide, in Chinese and English, is part of the program Chinese Cuisines meet Italian Wines, promoted by the ITALIAN WINE BANK (www.italianwinebank.com), produced by The I Factor (Hong Kong - Dubai) in collaboration with 24 talented Chinese chefs from Beijing and Shanghai, the Club China - Italian Sommelier Association and the Hong Kong Chinese Culinary Institute. In edition 2020 has been under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in China and the Italian Trade Commission in Beijing.
A preview of the guide has been presented last June at “I love Italian Wines”, event organized by the Ice Agency of Beijing and the Italian Embassy in China. The second edition of Zhong can yi jiu has been realized under the Auspices of the Italian Consul General in Hong Kong.
To the first two editions, the guide had the participation of 41 Italian wineries (see list below) and a total of 140 pairings. “Zhong can yi jiu is the only project that aim to propose innovative tools to the Italian wineries for their marketing strategies, pairing their wines to the creations of contemporary chefs who work in Chinese restaurants in China, but also Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and worldwide”, says Rosario Scarpato, founder and director of the guide.
The project includes the publication of the printed version of the second edition and a roadshow of presentation, with tastings in restaurants, seminars and Fairs, in China and Hong Kong.
