PROSECCO LEADS ITALIAN WINE EXPORT TO CHINA (+31%) AND WILL BE THE PROTAGONIST OF THE SECOND EDITION OF CHINESE CUISINES MEET ITALIAN WINES

06/11/2019 13:05

Prosecco DOC export to China in the first 7 months of 2019 had a +31% increase in quantity according to Coldiretti. In total Italian wine export showed an encouraging +11% on the same period of last year, a clear outcome of the China-USA custom-war that reduced dramatically the Chinese import of American wines. The news came while the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luigi Di Maio, was meeting President Xi Jinping in Shanghai during the 2019 China International Import Expo.
Not by chance Prosecco and some of its more relevant producers are the protagonists of the second edition of Zhong Can Yi Jiu - Chinese Cuisines meet Italian Wines 2020 due to be on line during this November and available in printing from the first week of December. The guide published by The I Factor in collaboration with AIS Club China (Associazione Italiana Sommelier - Italian Sommeliers Associations) will contain 100 new pairings of Italian wines to traditional and contemporary Chinese cuisine’s recipes.
A special section of the guide will be devoted to the Italian sparkling wines traditions pairing more than 40 wines  to Chinese dishes
